NEWS UPDATE: 13th February 2012 Greetings from the
Lakes! It’s the half term hols and we have lots of visitors this week,
hurray! The mole is still causing havoc, the badgers are fairly quiet, and
the weather has gone decidedly mild. Several guests have reported seeing the
red deer up on Place Fell this week, and we’ve also had one reported sighting
of a red squirrel on the Estate. One of our staff members spotted a black
squirrel recently, which isn’t so good as they are
the offspring of mating grey squirrels... the scourge of the reds! Enough
wildlife reporting... come and see for yourselves... there’s a great offer
