Ullswater "Steamers"

Sail on England’s most beautiful lake onboard the Victorian
"steamers" Lady of the Lake and Raven. You can make a day of it by opting to

Red squirrels thrive in the woodland through which a short Victorian walk leads you to one of the most famous natural features in the area… well worth a visit! Free parking for National Trust members, otherwise Pay & Display.

The UK’s only remaining steam-powered pottery and home to one of the first Ceramic Cafes in the North of England. Create your own work of art, get your kid’s face painted, visit the museum… basically, there’s lots to do!

Eden Ostrich World
(Langwathby, 6 miles east of Penrith)

Visit this award winning visitor centre and you’ll see ostrich chicks hatching, emu, wallabies, rhea and, if you’re really lucky, cows and sheep too! You can also see Tilly and her amazing Zebra-foal, a species unique to Eden Ostrich World.
